Knife 5000 Series

The K66678 knife will fit all John Deere® 5000 series SPFH equipped with a factory-style Dura-Drum cutterhead housing. This knife is used on the harvester cutter drum to cut the material being harvested. There are 40 knives required per drum.

Each knife is heat-treated and tungsten hard-faced. This cutting edge is ground in for consistent hardness out to the tip of the knife. Install to factory settings, torque bolts to 150-235 ft. lbs. (175 ft. lbs. recommended), do not install with an impact wrench. Visually inspect for wear, and replace as needed.
