Mixer Knife

The K385007 mixer knife is made of a high carbon base material that is milled, heat-treated, and tungsten hard face coated. This knife would be equal to or better than the OEM knife. This knife provides excellent performance for mixing livestock rations, such as those used on dairy farms, feedlots, and beef cattle operations, making it ideal for preparing TMR (Total Mixed Ration). TMR is created by thoroughly mixing various feed ingredients in a mixer wagon, ensuring that all components are evenly distributed for optimal livestock nutrition. 

The K385007 mixer wagon knife fits a variety of mixers including, Arts Way™, Diamond™, Haybuster®, Penta™, and Valmetal®. These are installed using factory settings, no special tools are required. Visually inspect to determine wear, an increased mixing time is a good indicator that it is time for a replacement or when the knife is not sharp to the touch. Mounting hardware for this knife is K385007BK (Carriage bolts) or KCSBK (Counter-sunk bolts). Backing plate available for this knife is K385007BP and is required on Valmetal® vertical mixers.

Commonly installed in quantities of 8-12 knives per screw, depending on your mixer wagon. The knife is ¼ inch thick, making it ideal for cutting bales and feed. If you are looking for more cutting efficiency in your mixer, we recommend adding a Bale Slicer K385070 to shorten hay particle length within the same amount of mixing time. For longer-lasting cutting performance, consider upgrading with the HP insert knife K385011, which offers two to three times the cutting life of the standard knife
