• Optimal Cutting Performance: Depending on the cutter drum setup, 40, 48, or 56 knives are required per drum to achieve the best cutting performance. Proper knife count and maintenance ensure consistent, high-quality cuts.
• When to Replace: Inspect the knives regularly for signs of wear, such as heavy chips or loss of tungsten carbide on the edge. If the knife develops significant wear that affects cutting length or performance, replace it to maintain efficient cutting.
