3-Groove Processor Tension Pulley

This part is a tensioner pulley for the processor roll. This pulley fits the John Deere® 6000 and 7000 series forage harvesters with the factory John Deere three groove processor and three belt set. There are two of these pulleys per machine. They are both located on the right side of the processor when sitting in the seat.

This part is installed on a hub with bearings, seals, bushings, washers, and a bolt. This is installed to factory specifications.

If belts are wearing out sooner than they should, it is possible that the grooves on the pulley are sharp and are cutting the belts up. Those sharp edges will continue to destroy belts and the pulley will need to be replaced. It should be checked if the pulley seems unbalanced or wobbly. The bearings and hub inside could be rounding it out which means it will need to be replaced.
