Nolan - Outside Sales Manager
November 30, 2022 | Employee Spotlights
We would like to thank Nolan for his 30 years of service today!
Nolan started in 1992 running a WWII Cincinnati mill. He then went on to run and program a CNC machine. After running machines for a while, Nolan learned welding. He started welding conversion drums. He moved up to be the welding supervisor and ag production manager while programming CNC drill equipment.
He then became a manager in CNC production, welding, and ag departments. For the past 15 years, Nolan has worked in sales as a sales manager for the ag department along with research and development for new ag products.
Some of Nolan’s favorite memories include: when a client from Brazil came for a month during harvest season in 2014 and had fun as a welding supervisor. They “worked hard” while Phil was away. Nolan also enjoys working farm shows with John Kooima. Nolan’s favorite part about working at Kooima Ag is the people he gets to work with.
Over the past 30 years, there have been some other stories as well. Once, when Nolan was doing research and development, he was in a mixer wagon looking at some knives. He took the key out of the tractor and left it in the cab. While he was inside the wagon, someone started the tractor and the mixer wagon turned on. Nolan slid out of the wagon before getting seriously hurt.
Nolan enjoys hunting, camping, and boating. He lives west of Rock Valley on a small acreage he bought from his parents. Nolan and his wife, Gina, have been married for 29 years. Together, they have 6 children, 2 sons-in-law, and 2 grandchildren.
Thanks, Nolan, for 30 years of service!
