The Kooima Ag® 20 Ton Ag Trailer is a versatile piece of equipment designed primarily for hauling silage and grain, but it can be adapted for various other agricultural applications. Here are some potential uses for this trailer:

1. Silage Transport: As one of its primary purposes, the trailer can efficiently transport silage from the field to storage or feeding areas. It's designed with features to handle the specific demands of silage transport.
2. Grain Hauling: The trailer can also be used for transporting harvested grain from the fields to storage facilities or for sale. Its versatility makes it suitable for various grain types.
3. Manure Stockpiling: The trailer can be used to transport and stockpile manure. This is useful for managing animal waste and fertilizing fields.
4. Compost Hauling: Compost is valuable in agriculture for enriching soil. This trailer can transport compost from composting sites to fields for soil improvement.
5. General Cargo: These versatile trailers can be used for transporting other agricultural materials or equipment as needed, such as lime or dry fertilizer products.

The adaptability of the Kooima Ag® Trailer makes it a valuable asset for farms and agricultural operations, allowing them to use a single piece of equipment for multiple tasks, saving time and resources. Using a tractor and wagon can be more convenient because, unlike driving a truck, it usually doesn't demand a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). This makes it accessible to a wider range of individuals for various tasks, especially in smaller-scale transportation or agricultural activities.

We also want to inform you on how to keep your 20-ton Ag Trailer in peak condition. Maintaining your trailer is crucial for its performance and longevity, so here's a guide to ensure your Ag Trailer runs smoothly.

1. Hydraulics Management

  • Hydraulic Hoses: Your wagon features seven hydraulic hoses, though most tractors have only five ports. Ensure that unused ports are correctly handled to avoid issues.
  • Hydraulic Jack: Once attached to the tractor, remove the hydraulic jack to prevent it from accidentally deploying while driving.

2. Wagon Doors and Usage

  • Front Door: When hauling most materials, such as manure or corn, you typically don't need to use the front door. Keeping it down doesn't affect the load capacity, so you can haul more efficiently.

3. Hydraulic Air Ride Suspension

  • Adjustment: Your wagon's hydraulic air ride suspension should be set to float. This feature helps with load stability and improves handling.

4. Greasing Points

  • Total Grease Points: There are 26 grease points on the wagon, divided between the box and axels.
    • Box: There are four grease points on the box. It's recommended to grease these every 20 hours or every 2-3 days of operation.
    • Axels: There are 22 grease points on the axels—11 on each side. Grease these every 100 hours of operation.

5. Specific Areas to Grease

  • Brakes and Steering: The brakes and steering column have several grease points, including those on the shocks and steering components.
  • Hinges and Pins: Don't forget the pin hinges on the front and back of the wagon. These should also be greased regularly for smooth operation.

6. Additional Tips

  • Pre-Greasing: Your wagon is pre-greased at the factory before shipping, but regular maintenance is crucial.
  • Routine Checks: Make it a habit to check and grease these points during your daily tractor fueling routine.
